It aims at assisting individuals to positively change their lifestyles in accordance with the latest or “present” scientific health research and sound biblical principles. "Present truth" demands lifestyle changes.

Can you share a little about the history of The Present Truth Lifestyle Conference?

As stated earlier, The Present Truth Lifestyle Conference is a volunteer initiative of five young Batswana professionals with a passion for wellness and lifestyle education. In the summer of 2003, at a spiritual event in Artesia, “the Batswana quintet” (as they’re affectionately known) conceived the idea of starting annual conferences on Lifestyle education in Botswana. Their dream was to promote a holistic approach to wellness that is anchored on the Eight Laws of Health. Two years later, in 2005, that dream became a reality when they conducted their first conference at Otse Police College.

Since 2005, they have conducted annual Lifestyle Conferences on a wide variety of themes. These events have attracted hundreds of mostly youth and young adults from Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This year’s Signs of The Times Conference is, thus, the 15th Lifestyle Conference that has been organized by The Present Truth Lifestyle Conference.

Is The Present Truth Lifestyle Conference sponsored by or affiliated to any political party, religious entity, or denomination?

No, The Present Truth Lifestyle Conference (the organization behind the SoTT event), is NOT sponsored by or affiliated to any political party, religious entity, or denomination. It is a legally registered non-profit company that seeks to bring about wellness and lifestyle education. Although the nature of the topics presented have a bearing on issues pertaining to our well-being as Africans and to our spirituality in our relationship with God, the Signs of The Times Conference is NOT sponsored by any political party or denomination. All are invited, regardless of political and religious affiliation.

Also, even though the Signs of The Times Conference (SoTT) is solely hosted and financially sponsored by The Present Truth Lifestyle Conference, any member of the society and any organization that feels impressed by the work we are doing is more than welcome to partner with us and offer their contribution—whether in cash or kind. This would go a long way to help subsidize the conference and make it affordable to our main target audience—African youth and young professionals.

Who does The Present Truth Lifestyle Conference typically invite to be guest speakers, presenters, and special guests of honor at
    their events?

Depending on the theme of the year, anyone, anywhere on the globe, who demonstrates expertise and resourcefulness on the subjects at hand, very easily attracts our ever-searching eye. Believing in excellence, we seek to bring capable professionals who can assist us in our objective of holistic transformation in the lives of attendees.

Thus, for example, at this year's Signs of The Times (SoTT), you will find presenters and guest speakers from various backgrounds. The common thread in their qualifications for the event is that they all excel in their fields and are highly respected and are in demand for what they have to offer.
